# Story Engine Operational Policy

Hello everyone — welcome to Story Engine.\
Story Engine aims to build a community where diverse users can come together, respect one another, and enjoy creative interaction.

We value the content and communication you create, and we are committed to ensuring that every activity within the platform remains safe, enjoyable, and meaningful.

This policy provides guidance for behavior and content within Story Engine and supports the development of a healthy and positive culture across the platform.\
It applies to **all users and all content**, and harmful behavior or content may result in account or content restrictions in accordance with applicable laws and the Story Engine Terms of Service.

Let’s work together to make Story Engine a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone.

The Story Engine operational policy was created with reference to the **“Korea Communications Standards Commission – Deliberation Regulations on Information and Communications”** and the **“Youth Protection Act,”** among other regulations.

## Regulated Categories

### **1. Obscenity**

* Displaying or depicting male or female genitals, pubic hair, anus, exposed female nipples, or sexual acts/simulated sexual acts.
* Sexual exposure involving minors, or any act that exploits minors sexually.
* Streaming, promoting, or distributing pornographic websites.
* Any obscene content outside the permitted scope defined in the creator guideline.

### **2. Illegal Activity**

* Engaging in or promoting prostitution.
* Misusing or distributing another person’s personal information.
* Sharing information about illegal activities, or encouraging or facilitating actions that violate the law.
* Violations of the **Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising.**
* Any other illegal activity not listed above.

### **3. Gambling**

* Engaging in or promoting illegal private online sports betting, gambling services, or game-currency exchanges.
* Gambling and speculative activities.

### **4. Copyright Infringement**

* Editing, uploading, reproducing, distributing, or transmitting any copyrighted content without permission.
* Engaging in infringement related to materials officially reported by a rights holder.
* Unauthorized use of copyrighted content such as sports broadcasts, films, anime, games, or TV channels that Story Engine does not hold the rights to.
* Sharing or distributing materials intended to bypass copyright protection measures.
* Selling online/offline content that violates another party’s intellectual property rights (including obscene content, tools, games, or films).
* Unauthorized use of another entity’s trademark, design rights, or similar protected assets.

### **5. Harmful to Minors**

* Content harmful to the emotional or psychological development of minors (excessive profanity, sexually suggestive outfits, inappropriate speech or conduct).
* Content involving youth-restricted goods (alcohol, cigarettes/e-cigarettes/vape sticks, sexual devices, etc.).
* Content involving services restricted to minors (18+ streaming, videos, adult websites, etc.).
* Any other content harmful to minors not listed above.\
  → These restrictions apply only when the content is provided in a format accessible to minors.

### **6. Defamation**

* Defaming or spreading false information about an individual or group.
* Using profanity, insults, slurs, or degrading expressions targeting a specific person.
* Attacking or insulting others by exploiting their weaknesses.
* Sharing private personal information without consent.
* Sharing false or unverified information about another person without consent.
* Actions that harm another person's reputation, identity, or social standing.
* Political manipulation involving insults toward specific political figures.\
  → When targets are clearly identifiable, the intent of harm and willingness to pursue legal action may also be considered.

### **7. Platform-Specific Rules**

* Interfering with service operations or negatively affecting platform stability.
* Promoting or inducing sign-ups for external services without prior approval from Story Engine.
* Acting on Story Engine as a representative of another platform (individual or organization) to recruit users without authorization.
* Stealing, copying, or reusing other creators’ content without permission.
* Impersonating the service, staff, Story Engine operators, or representatives to deceive or obtain benefits.
* Conducting direct cash or cash-equivalent transactions between individuals or sharing information to facilitate such transactions.
* Sharing or trading accounts with others.
* Violating internal platform rules not explicitly listed above.
* Exploiting refund/payment cancellation systems of app stores, PG companies, or card processors.
* Canceling payments manually without going through official Story Engine customer support may result in sanctions.
* Sharing or spreading information on how to exploit the payment system.
* Performing direct or proxy cancellations via external marketplaces instead of through official support.

## **Enforcement Actions**

#### **1. Warning**

Issued when:

* The violation is minor
* The action was unintentional
* The user was unaware of the violation
* The violation was caused by another party

#### **2. Account Suspension**

Issued when:

* Platform policies are violated
* Intentional abuse or malicious intent is present
* The violation causes major disruption, public controversy, or damages service reputation

#### **3. Suspension Duration**

**3 days / 7 days / 15 days / 30 days / 90 days / 180 days / Permanent Suspension**

> * Story Engine may adjust the severity of disciplinary actions depending on the context of the violation and its impact.
> * Even if the situation is not explicitly listed above, violations of the Terms of Service or applicable law may still be subject to disciplinary action depending on severity.
> * If an account is restricted, the user may file an appeal through customer support within **30 days** of enforcement.
> * For urgent cases requiring immediate investigation (bugs, fraud, policy violations, or harm reports), the platform may issue temporary restrictions without prior notice and later lift or finalize the suspension based on results.
> * If a violation results in the creation or acquisition of platform assets (Credits, Coins, unlocks, etc.), Story Engine may revoke or recover those assets when appropriate.
> * Users who are permanently suspended due to policy violations are **not eligible** for refunds on purchased content, subscriptions, or remaining Coins.
